Check Domain Controller Replication

A domain controller controls networking activities and stores information for one or more computers. A computer administrator may link one or more domain controllers together to serve a small, medium or large network of computers. The computer administrator can also create a replication strategy for the linked computers. This strategy ensures that the domain controllers are in sync relative to the networking activities and information for all computers in the domain controller networks.

This article will help you to check domain controller replication.
Instructions
  1. Click "Start" and "Run." Type "cmd" or "cmd.exe" in the "Run" box for Windows 2003 operating platforms. Click "OK." Type "command" or "command.exe" in the "Run" box for older platforms. Click "OK."

Type the following (without quotation marks):

    "repadmin /showrepl servername /u: domainname \ username /pw:*"

  2. Substitute "servername" with the primary domain controller name. Substitute "domainname" with the domain name of the primary domain controller. Substitute "username" with your administrator username. Press "Enter."
  3. At the "*" prompter, enter your administrator password.

  4. Check the replication output summary. "Last attempt @ YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM.SS was successful" indicates successful replication. "Last attempt @ [Never] was successful" means the replication was unsuccessful.
